The New York Jets enter the season with sky-high expectations.
Adding Aaron Rodgers to that mix and getting him back to full strength can do that to any team.
Nonetheless, some people haven’t been exactly thrilled with the quarterback.
Rodgers drew criticism for skipping the Jets’ minicamp with an ‘unexcused absence.’
It was reported that he was on vacation, and that the Jets were aware of this trip even before they released their offseason schedule.
And while Robert Saleh and the team claimed that it wasn’t a big deal, some still took offense to that.
Notably, that includes former Giants star WR Plaxico Burress.
Talking on The Carton Show, the former Super Bowl champion claimed that it wasn’t a good look for the team, adding that it was a one-year-or-bust situation for Rodgers.
“It’s a one year or bust for the Jets. Aaron Rodgers needs to be there. It’s a bad look for the team.”

Truth be told, people might be making way too much of this story.
Rodgers had been in attendance at every voluntary workout leading to that day, including this offseason.
He’s a professional and his work ethic has never been in question, and he’s going to be there for training camp, the preseason, and so forth.
Granted, you want as many reps together as you can possibly get, especially with a revamped offensive line and some new pieces on the offense, but it’s Aaron Rodgers we’re talking about here.
The Jets should be just fine for as long as he’s healthy.
As for this being Super Bowl-or-bust for the Jets, that might exactly be the case.
