It’s one thing to make it to the National Football League, and it’s a completely different thing to stay and have a long career there.
Most players don’t get a second chance, either because of injuries, their character, tough luck, or age.
That’s why the Comeback Player of the Year award is always emotional and why not many people qualify for it.
Notably, Baker Mayfield and Damar Hamlin look like legitimate candidates to take it home this season.
Nonetheless, Jamie Erdahl of Good Morning Football believes Joe Flacco should be strongly considered for the award.
Talking on the show, she pointed out the fact that Flacco was literally sitting on his couch just a couple of months ago, and he’s now thriving with a Cleveland Browns team that has suffered a plethora of injuries.

She stated that the 38-year-old veteran had been counted out so many times in his career and that his talents were often questioned, even in his prime.
If he were to win out with this Browns team, he should be a no-brainer to get the award.
Thus far, Joe Flacco has led the Browns to a 2-1 record, and while their remaining schedule isn’t exactly easy, they should be favored in those contests, and a lot of that has to do with Flacco’s play and veteran leadership.
It’s about time people start giving him the respect he deserves.
