The Las Vegas Raiders have made it loud and clear that they don’t want to trade Davante Adams.
However, Adams hasn’t hidden his frustration over not being featured enough in the Raiders’ struggling offense, and it’s evident that he’s not happy at all.
That’s why NFL analyst Craig Carton believes the only reason the Raiders could keep him is out of spite.
Carton states that they cannot sell Adams a long-term plan because Jimmy Garoppolo isn’t a rookie or a young quarterback, and he’s likely not going to get any better (via The Carton Show).
“I think the Dallas Cowboys make a tremendous amount of sense for Davante Adams.”

They also don’t have a running game, enough offensive weapons, or a solid offensive line, so there’s literally nothing they could tell him to get him to buy in.
With that in mind, Carton believes the Dallas Cowboys would be a seamless fit for Adams, stating that they usually struggle in the passing game and could obviously benefit from having one of the best — if not the best — pass-catchers in the game.
Likewise, he talked about the New York Jets as a potential destination, considering the fact that he’d get to be reunited with Aaron Rodgers next season.
Even so, Carton admitted that he didn’t trust the Raiders organization to do the right thing for them or for Adams, and judging by the way they’ve taken care of business over the past decade-plus, it’s hard to blame him for his skepticism.
Right now, it seems like Adams has no choice but to swallow his pride and continue being one of the league’s most expensive decoys.
