After winning five straight games, including an impressive performance against the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys came back down to earth last week when the Buffalo Bills put on a clinic against Dak Prescott and company at Highmark Stadium.
The Bills embarrassed the Cowboys and their supposedly stout defense while also possibly knocking Prescott out of the NFL MVP conversation for the rest of the 2023 campaign.
With the Cowboys coming off one of their worst performances of the season and the start of the NFL playoffs right around the corner, Dallas will be heading into a statement game in Week 16 when they go on the road to face the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.
This will be a classic matchup between a lockdown defense and a high-powered offense, with both teams looking to make a statement before the postseason gets underway.
Former NFL wide receiver James Jones makes it clear that the Cowboys need to make a statement this weekend against the Dolphins after falling flat against the Bills, via “Speak” on FS1.

It doesn’t take much for a top-flight football team in the NFL to get derailed during a season in which the team is supposed to be a legitimate Super Bowl title contender, and if the Cowboys aren’t careful, that could happen to them.
However, this is also a big game for the Dolphins, as they need a statement win before the NFL playoffs, and beating the Cowboys would fit the bill.
Even though the Dolphins are a talented team that is well coached, there’s no telling whether this team can continue its dominance in the playoffs against some of the best of the best in the NFL.
