The past several days have been an emotional rollercoaster for Minnesota Vikings fans.
Kirk Cousins will not be their quarterback in 2024, as he has just signed a four-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons.
To make matters worse, there have been rumors that Justin Jefferson could be on the move, which has incited panic within the fanbase.
Despite reporters like Dianna Russini insisting that Jefferson is sticking around, some uneasiness still exists.
Craig Carton added to this in a recent segment of his show, saying, “Justin Jefferson should want out of Minnesota.”

Jefferson, of course, has been one of the top wide receivers since he entered the NFL.
Losing him would be a devastating blow to the Vikings, especially since many believe he will have a Randy Moss-level effect on this team.
However, Jefferson had made it clear that he was a big advocate for Kirk Cousins and believed Cousins was a quarterback who helped bring out the best in him and his on-field abilities.
Now that Cousins is gone, the Vikings’ quarterback situation is up in the air, which could make Jefferson have trepidation about his future with the team, as Carton suggests.
The Vikings did sign Sam Darnold, who would likely be their starting QB if the season started today.
Darnold’s career history is not ideal, and if the Vikings do envision him as their starter, it could give Jefferson further reason to seek employment elsewhere.
If the Vikings target a high-caliber quarterback prospect in the draft, Jefferson could start to trust that they have his best interests in mind, especially if it’s a quarterback he is interested in playing with.
