The Dallas Cowboys ended the regular season positively, securing the No. 2 seed in the NFC.
However, as has been the case for several years, they could not make any noise in the playoffs, ending their season earlier than anticipated.
Before getting blown out in the Wild Card round by the Green Bay Packers, Dan Quinn was lauded for the defense he ran and was viewed as a top head coaching candidate for the upcoming cycle.
Despite the defense’s poor playoff showing, Quinn has still gotten some interviews in the first few days of the offseason.
If he doesn’t get hired elsewhere, Craig Carton strongly believes what the Cowboys should do with him in 2024.
Carton said in a segment of his show, “I would fire Dan Quinn if he doesn’t get a job.”
“I would fire Dan Quinn if he doesn’t get a job. Someone’s gotta pay the price of losing to the Green Bay Packers. I don’t know how Dan Quinn survives it.”

He added, “Someone’s got to pay the price of losing to the Green Bay Packers.”
The organization has made it clear that Mike McCarthy is sticking around and that they aren’t planning to make any head coaching changes.
This means that the offense will likely stay the same, a unit that was among the best in the NFL this season.
While their defense was strong for most of the year, their playoff collapse was something that Carton viewed negatively.
It will be interesting to see how the next several weeks shake out in the NFL and where coordinators like Quinn will end up.
With many head coaching positions available, teams are scrambling to make sure they hire the best possible candidates.
