The New York Jets lost Aaron Rodgers just four plays into the season, and with his loss, all hope of making it to the Super Bowl.
Or did they?
The team is currently doing well, sitting on a 3-3 record and boasting one of the best defenses in the league.
On top of that, Rodgers was spotted throwing before their win over the Philadelphia Eagles, and while he admittedly still walks with a limp, he’s not using crutches anymore.
However, as much as Rodgers has talked about the possibility of coming back at some point this season — which would be a remarkable feat — Craig Carton just doesn’t see that happening (via The Carton Show).
“Aaron Rodgers will not throw another football for the New York Jets until next September. He is NOT playing.”

In the latest edition of his show, Carton talked about how Rodgers will never admit that he’s not coming back this year because as soon as he does that, he’s not going to get any more attention.
Carton was skeptical of the quick recovery, and he doesn’t think he’s going to throw another football for the Jets until next season.
He explained that even if he had a quick recovery like Cam Akers, the earliest he could realistically come back is in January.
Needless to say, if the Jets are playing a playoff game in January, that means they figured out how to win with Zach Wilson.
Therefore, there would be no reason to risk it all by starting Rodgers in the blistering winter cold after almost two years without playing competitive football.
Jets fans will hate to admit it, but Carton may be right.
