Once again, Bill Belichick has put the NFL into a frenzy.
This time, however, it might not be his fault.
A recent report by ESPN revealed that New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft reportedly reached out to Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank, warning him not to trust Belichick.
He allegedly told him that he would never have a close relationship with a cold guy like Belichick, adding that he was arrogant and often rubbed people the wrong way.
Belichick also reportedly told the Falcons brass that his top assistants were better soldiers than generals.
Eventually, Blank — who initially thought Belichick was his guy — pivoted and went with Raheem Morris instead.
That’s why former NFL player Damien Woody couldn’t believe what he had heard.
Talking on the UNSPORTSMANLIKE Radio Show, Woody ripped Blank for reportedly wanting a ‘family-like and collaborative environment’ within his team.

He says it’s all about winning, and you just don’t pass on a chance to get a football mastermind because of that kind of stuff.
He does have a valid point, but it’s not like Belichick’s record without Brady — dating back to his pre-Patriots days — was that impressive to begin with.
Belichick’s reputation has taken a massive hit since Brady left Foxboro, not only because of the many things and reports that have transpired about his character and how he deals with his employees, but also because of all the failure in finding and developing talent and winning games.
At the end of the day, people will gladly deal with difficult characters if they can get something out of them, but NFL teams aren’t so sure about being able to get something out of Belichick anymore.
