The stage is set for an epic showdown between the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium on February 11 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
With the Chiefs being one of the most dominant franchises in the NFL over the past half-decade or so and the 49ers being one of the most successful franchises in league history, the Super Bowl shouldn’t disappoint when the big game gets underway next week.
However, there could be an issue that changes the outcome of the game, with Booger McFarland of ESPN claiming that the indoor air conditioning at Allegiant Stadium is creating moisture that could make the playing surface slick on Super Bowl Sunday.
“Most interesting thing to note about this. The A/C indoors creating moisture on the playing surface making it slick,” he tweeted.

Obviously, this is not a good development for the game that is set to take place a week from now, as a slick surface will undoubtedly impact the Super Bowl and how the game is played next Sunday.
As of right now, the 49ers are the slight favorites to come out on top against the Chiefs next week, with the defending champions still being underestimated even after Patrick Mahomes and company were able to get the best of the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens in three consecutive playoff games.
San Francisco was able to pull off an impressive come-from-behind victory against the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship Game but struggled against the upstart Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round.
It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out on Super Bowl Sunday and whether the field has an impact on the game.
