The Kansas City Chiefs have gotten a lot of extra attention this season.
On top of all the media frenzy surrounding Patrick Mahomes in every game, Travis Kelce’s relationship with pop star Taylor Swift has been perhaps the biggest talking point in sports.
It’s reached a point where people debate online whether they should keep showing Swift during the broadcast or not, with some fans arguing that they are sick and tired of the overexposure.
Whatever the case, the league has jumped on board with all this free PR, and Swift’s fans have also embraced the game.
With that in mind, coach Andy Reid admitted that he actually knew her before she started dating Kelce (via Let’s Go! Podcast and SiriusXM NFL Radio).
“I knew her before, from Philadelphia. Her dad played at Delaware and was a big football fan. He was a good guy, so I had met him there and her,” Reid said.
“That was the last thing Travis wanted to hear, that I knew [Taylor] before him.”

Talking to Tom Brady and Jim Gray, Reid claimed that she has been great for them this season.
The NFL has seen plenty of famous fans, wives, and girlfriends.
From Gisele Bundchen to Ciara or Jessica Simpson, yet Swift seems to clear all of them in terms of social media pull and influence.
At the end of the day, she has every right to enjoy the game just like every other fan, especially if she’s there rooting for someone she loves.
As for the rest, they should focus on enjoying the game and not so much on whether she’s on screen or not.
