The Chicago Bears have been one of the most highly-discussed teams in the league over the past few weeks.
Sure, they weren’t in the playoffs or the Super Bowl, but with a big decision to make, everyone seems to be wondering what the team will do.
Due to their trade last year with the Carolina Panthers, the Bears currently hold the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
This is a great place to be in for the Bears, as they are in the driver’s seat.
They can either draft a quarterback or another player that they believe could help them win now, or they could trade the pick for a king’s ransom.
While that decision is still up in the air, many fans believe that if they hold onto the No. 1 pick, Justin Fields is likely out the door.
Adam Schefter recently indicated the opposite in a segment of “Get Up” on ESPN, where he pointed to the possibility that the Bears could still keep Fields around, even if they draft a quarterback with the first pick.

Caleb Williams is widely believed to be the best player on the board, a quarterback who could transform an organization like the Bears.
If the Bears want him, they can certainly draft him.
In their eyes, since Fields is still on his rookie deal, they could keep him around for one more season, hoping he grows and develops into the player they wished he could be, potentially upping his trade value to another team in the league.
At the very least, he could be nothing more than a high-quality backup to Williams.
Ultimately, the Bears have a few months to make a decision, one that has a lot of eyes on it.
