With the 2023 NFL season officially over, all the attention has turned to the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, with a lot of speculation brewing about what the Chicago Bears intend to do with the No. 1 overall pick.
Last year, the Bears had the top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and chose to trade the pick to the Carolina Panthers, with that team desperately trying to find a franchise quarterback to build around and Chicago intent on building around quarterback Justin Fields.
A year later, Chicago seems to have given up on building around Fields without much progress made during the 2023 campaign and the fact that USC superstar Caleb Williams will be available at the top of the draft.
With the Bears rumored to be intent on drafting Williams with the No. 1 overall pick, the team will need to move Fields at some point between now and draft day on April 25.
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Bears are focused on bringing in Williams at No. 1 while currently looking for the best trade package to send Fields elsewhere.

Although there was some doubt in the beginning about whether the Bears would trade Fields, all signs pointed to the team parting ways with the promising young quarterback due to the fact that Williams is too good a prospect to pass up on.
The only question now is what kind of trade haul the Bears can get in return for Fields, with the entire league knowing Chicago needs to move him as quickly as they can.
