For a team with a history of passing-game woes, the Chicago Bears prepare for the fall campaign with perhaps its best receiving corps in living memory.
DJ Moore hauled in 96 receptions last year and established himself as the go-to target, and then Keenan Allen was signed as a free agent from the Chargers.
Even more promising, the team drafted uber-talented receiver Rome Odunze out of Washington.
Now, the Bears brought another speedy threat to the Windy City.
Jordan Schultz reported that the team signed former Chargers and Raiders wide receiver and special teams ace DeAndre Carter.

The well-traveled Carter also has stops on his resume in Las Vegas, Washington, Houston, and even Chicago for a brief four-game stint in 2020.
His career high-point thus far was catching 46 passes for 538 yards and three scores in 2022 with the Chargers.
Carter also returned 29 punts and 26 kickoffs that season.
He was likely signed by Chicago with the new NFL kickoff rules in mind, as the wide receiver room is loaded with talent for first-round quarterback Caleb Williams.
Indeed, Williams should have no trouble finding targets this fall as he is already penciled in as the team’s starter.
His receiving corps is loaded with speed, and Carter adds depth to a position of strength on what many feel is a rising franchise.
Expectations are growing for the Bears, and for the fans, any success cannot come a moment too soon.
