Over the past few months, it has been no secret who the Chicago Bears intend to take with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, especially after the team traded star quarterback Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
All signs point to the Bears drafting USC superstar Caleb Williams with the No. 1 pick on Thursday, as he has been dubbed the best prospect and quarterback in this draft class by many draft experts.
Although some have doubted whether the Bears are truly content with bringing in Williams, it seems to be the safest bet in the first round of today’s draft, which means the odds with sports betting websites like Caesars Sportsbook are astronomical.
According to Action Network, a $100,000 bet was placed on the Bears taking Williams at No. 1 on Thursday, which would only net the bettor $500 in return.

Even though Williams landing with the Bears seems inevitable at this point, risking $100,000 to win $500 seems absolutely ridiculous, even for someone who has money to burn and doesn’t mind losing that much money for fun.
In order for Williams not to play his first season in the NFL with Chicago, some crazy trade scenario would have to take place, and it seems doubtful that the Bears would even take the call at this point.
Once Williams is off the board, that’s when it gets really interesting at the quarterback position, with a lot of debate about who should be taken next among potential stars like Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, and J.J. McCarthy.
