The New England Patriots are at a crossroads in their season.
After a disappointing 20-17 home loss on Sunday, the Patriots saw their record fall to 2-7.
Any hopes of making the playoffs are all but gone and some major changes might be on the cusp.
One change that everyone in the NFL world is wondering about is what the Patriots will do with Bill Belichick.
The legendary head coach has struggled ever since Tom Brady left after the 2019 season.
During that time the Patriots have only made the playoffs once and lost in the first round.
With how poorly this season is going in New England, rumors are surfacing that Belichick could be on his way out.
Yet, the legendary head coach is not worried about anything but next week’s game.
According to Ian Steele, Belichick said: “I’m going to control what I can control and get ready for the Colts.”

Belichick is arguably the greatest coach of all time but even he needs good players.
At this time, the Patriots simply do not have many good ones.
Their biggest issue is at quarterback as Mac Jones has proven to not be the guy.
The Patriots have failed at replacing Brady and Belichick may be the one that pays for it.
It may be best for Belichick that he and the Patriots part ways after the season.
Both could benefit from a fresh start and you can bet teams will line up for Belichick’s services.
The Belichick era in New England has run its course and it looks time for a change.
