For the first time in almost five decades, Bill Belichick won’t be a part of an NFL organization.
He entered the league as an assistant coach for the Baltimore Colts in 1975, climbing his way up the ladder and becoming one of the greatest — if not the greatest — head coaches in league history.
But with this ever-changing environment and after four years of shortcomings, the New England Patriots decided to let him go.
Contrary to what most people thought, there wasn’t much of a league-wide interest in his services, with the Atlanta Falcons being the only team that actually interviewed him.
So, now that he’s not going to coach or be an advisor of any capacity, ESPN and the Manning brothers are looking to make the most of his talents.
According to a report by Andrew Marchand (via The Athletic), the legendary coach is going to have a recurring role on their Monday Night Football ‘ManningCast,’ which has been a massive success since it started.

Per the report, a book deal, a potential inside football show, and maybe even a podcast are on the table for the multi-time Super Bowl champion.
Belichick has never been exactly close or open to the media or the fans, but not many people know more football than him, so when he talks, everybody else has to listen.
Of course, whether he’s going to hold onto this position for long remains to be seen, as some rumors state that he could be a strong head coaching candidate after this season.
