The 2023 NFL season can’t end soon enough for the New England Patriots as they’ve looked completely out of place on both sides of the field.
Week 12 represented perhaps their best opportunity to pick up a win as they went up against a shorthanded New York Giants squad.
Daniel Jones was lost for the remainder of the season due to a torn ACL, and the Giants have been forced to trot out Tommy DeVito.
However, New York managed to hold on in arguably the hardest game to watch in the Week 12 slate as both teams were in a slog offensively.
The Giants won 10-7, dropping the Patriots to 2-9 on the season and well on their way to securing the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Head coach Bill Belichick isn’t accustomed to this level of losing and the most recent defeat set an unfortunate situation for him via FOX.

Belichick enjoyed years of his success while he had Tom Brady as his quarterback, but since the future Hall of Famer left it’s been all downhill.
The legendary head coach could very well find himself on the way out given the team’s struggles the past two seasons though owner Robert Kraft hasn’t said anything to suggest that’ll happen.
However, New England has to evaluate all its options in the offseason if it wants to get back to winning football games.
Fans are frustrated with how things have been with the team, and changes are inevitable.
For now, though, Belichick and company will just need to ride this stretch out.
