The New England Patriots are averaging a league-worst 11 points per game.
Their scoring totals have dropped every single week, and they’re coming off being shut down by Dennis Allen’s New Orleans Saints.
To add insult to injury, Mac Jones has been pulled out of the game and replaced by Bailey Zappe in consecutive weeks.
However, regardless of all the speculation, HC Bill Belichick recently confirmed that the Pats will continue to roll with Jones ahead of their must-win game vs. the Las Vegas Raiders (via Adam Schefter).
Bill Belichick confirmed Mac Jones will start Sunday vs. the Raiders. “Yeah, we’re not making any changes,” he said.

Jones has been fairly erratic in the back-to-back losses.
He’s combined for 260 yards, zero touchdowns, and four interceptions, but he’s not the only one to blame for the Pats’ shortcomings.
Their offensive line play has been subpar, and their wide receivers have failed to create any sort of separation, not to mention the fact that they showcase an outdated, predictable, and stagnant offensive gameplan.
The Patriots have been under heavy fire for most of the season, and their promising first game vs. the Philadelphia Eagles looks like a distant memory now.
Jones has been far from the impressive player he was during his rookie season, and some are questioning his future in the league, or at least with the Patriots.
For now, however, he might give them their best chance to win a game.
Whether they’ll look to add someone else at some point in the season or continue to roll with him for the remainder of the year remains to be seen.
