Despite losing star running back Nick Chubb and quarterback Deshaun Watson to season-ending injuries, the Cleveland Browns had a never-say-quit mindset all throughout this season, as they finished with an 11-6 record and made the playoffs for only the third time since 1999.
A big reason for that unexpected success was their defense, which, at times, was savage, allowing them to at least compete hard against more talented teams.
The Browns have also had one of the NFL’s best offensive lines over the last couple of years, thanks partly to Bill Callahan, their offensive line coach.
But he is leaving Northeast Ohio, as he will now become part of the Tennessee Titans’ coaching staff, per Ari Meirov.

The Titans just hired Brian Callahan, Bill Callahan’s son, to be their new head coach.
The elder Callahan spent four seasons as Cleveland’s offensive line coach under head coach Kevin Stefanski, and in spite of all the team’s struggles during that time, it has excelled in that category.
Now, he will be going to a Tennessee team that is looking to rebuild, as veteran QB Ryan Tannehill appears to be past his expiration date and Will Levis may or may not be the answer at that position.
Star running back Derrick Henry is about to become a free agent, but if they manage to retain him, perhaps the younger Callahan could help him have a triumphant 2024 campaign by opening up more alleys for him to run through.
It is unknown who will replace the elder Callahan as the Browns’ next offensive line coach.
