The Buffalo Bills won’t be going to the Super Bowl – or even the AFC Championship Game – this year after being bounced from the playoffs by the Kansas City Chiefs in a close loss during the divisional round.
The game was devastating after Bills kicker Tyler Bass missed what would have been a game-tying field goal at the end of the fourth quarter, and no fan felt worse than the one who got a Bills Super Bowl LVIII champion tattoo a day before the Chiefs game.
The fan was seen crying in the stands at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, and said he was “speechless” following the loss (via MARCA in English on Twitter).

Pre-Super Bowl tattoos are always a dangerous choice, but it was even more wild to get the tattoo before the divisional round against the reigning Super Bowl champions.
The Bills looked good in the game, too, but didn’t have enough answers for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs and couldn’t deliver the game-tying field goal at the end of the game.
So while the Chiefs head to Baltimore to face the Ravens in the AFC title game, Josh Allen and the Bills return home after yet another disappointing playoff performance against Kansas City.
And as for this fan, his choices are to either keep the tattoo as a funny memento, get it removed entirely, or transform it into a Super Bowl LIX tattoo for next year.
Either way, heartbreak hits a little harder when you have literal skin in the game and ink on the line.
