After a few years of speculation and constant rumors swirling about Stefon Diggs’ status with the Buffalo Bills, the team decided that Wednesday was the day to finally part ways with the outspoken star wide receiver.
Last season was Diggs’ fourth and final season with the Bills, as the team chose to move on by trading him to the Houston Texans.
Although this was a questionable move by the Bills front office, as Diggs is still considered to be one of the best receivers in the game and is coming off his fourth straight season as a Pro Bowler, it seemed as though the writing was on the wall in Buffalo.
With the Bills finally parting ways with Diggs by trading him to the Texans, the team will have the tall task of replacing one of the league’s best wide receivers, but general manager Brandon Beane promises to do it, via ProFootballTalk.
“I mean, are we better today? Probably not,” Beane said, per PFT. “It’s a work in progress, and we’re going to continue to work on that. I would just hope that people know I’m competitive as hell, and I ain’t giving in.”

Diggs earned Pro Bowl honors in all four seasons he played with the Bills while also being named an All-Pro in one of the seasons he was with the team.
Even though Diggs was highly productive during his time in Buffalo, the team clearly felt it was time to move on, remove a distraction from the locker room, and take advantage of a deep draft class at the wide receiver position.
Although the Bills will have a tough time replacing Diggs, that’ll be the task at hand for Beane and company.
