The Buffalo Bills are doing their homework on NFL Draft prospects just like everybody else is, and one of the areas of focus this offseason is improving the defensive line to follow up the impressive 54 sacks the team put up last season.
Buffalo has star defensive tackle Ed Oliver locked up through 2027 and his counterpart DaQuan Jones was re-signed to a 2-year deal this offseason, but that’s not stopping the Bills from continuing to search for more depth and upside at the position.
Ryan Talbot of New York Upstate shared that Buffalo recently completed a pre-draft visit with Northern Iowa DT Khristian Boyd, one of the better small-school defensive prospects in this year’s draft.
Northern Iowa DT Khristian Boyd made his 30-visit with the #Bills on Monday, per source.

Boyd is a senior and during his four years in college, he amassed 122 tackles, 22.5 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, five pass deflections, and three fumble recoveries.
At 6-foot-2 and 329 pounds, Boyd is the ideal size for a defensive tackle at the next level.
His scouting report lists him as dense and explosive with an impressive ability to move laterally and navigate his way around blocks while utilizing his power to blow plays up in the backfield.
Boyd should be one of the first FCS players off the board in the draft and by most accounts projects as a Day 3 pick.
Buffalo is loaded with Day 3 picks with a pair of picks in the fourth and sixth rounds as well as three picks in the fifth round.
Having that much ammo means you have some freedom to take a few shots on high-upside guys like Boyd.
