Shohei Ohtani is expected to decide which team he is going to join for the foreseeable future this week.
MLB insiders and specialists say that the announcement could come as soon as Friday.
At this point, there are four teams with great chances: the Toronto Blue Jays, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Los Angeles Angels, and the San Francisco Giants.
Of those four, two of them appear to be in better position: the Dodgers and the Blue Jays.
Jose Berrios, star pitcher of the Blue Jays, joined MLB Network on Friday to discuss his team’s pitch to Ohtani.
Of course, he was also given the chance to make a pitch himself.

“Toronto is amazing. The diversity, the fans…they love baseball. There is also a large Japanese community in Toronto. I know this is a tough moment for him (Ohtani), deciding where he is going to play. If he signs with Toronto, it’s going to be great and we are going to have fun,” Berrios said, via Talkin’ Baseball.
It’s a solid pitch from one pitcher to another.
More importantly, it assures Ohtani that Toronto is a good, diverse community and a great place to live.
Of course, Berrios is also eager to stop facing Ohtani as a hitter.
“I’ve been facing him in the last few years so having him on my team is going to be better for me,” he said in the hilarious conversation.
Ohtani posted a 3.14 ERA as a pitcher and a 1.066 OPS with 44 home runs as a hitter this past season, winning his second MVP award.
An announcement on his next destination is imminent.
