The Kansas City Royals have not been good this season.
But that was to be expected with the look of their roster.
Kansas City has the second-worst record in baseball at 55-105.
Despite the record, it is not all bad in Kansas City.
They have one of the best young players in baseball on their team.
Bobby Witt Jr. is having another great season and even reached an impressive milestone.
As noted by Royals Daily, Witt reached a 30/30 season on Friday night.

The 23-year-old is having an elite season batting .275 with 75 RBI, 10 triples, and an .810 OPS.
Even though 30/30 is a great achievement, that would be selling Witt short.
He has 49 stolen bases on the year and is going for a rare 30/50 season over the final two games.
Witt is the cornerstone of the Royals and should be a force for many years.
It will be interesting to see if the Royals can make any moves to improve this offseason.
Their roster is not very good and they can use upgrades all over the field.
Kansas City has never been a team willing to spend big in free agency.
So that means they need to draft and develop better than anyone else to be able to compete.
Or they can improve in the trade market.
Just like they did when they acquired starting pitcher Cole Ragans from the Texas Rangers.
The Royals have a long way to go to return to contention.
At least they have a star player in place which is something many other teams cannot say.
