The Dallas Cowboys have a special talent in CeeDee Lamb, which is why it was easy to understand his frustration from earlier in the season.
Lamb is one of the best young wideouts in the game, and he hasn’t taken that leap to stardom or considered as such because he’s often being misused or underused by the Cowboys’ passing game.
Even so, whenever he’s gotten the chance to prove his worth, he’s shown just why he should be more involved in the passing game.
He’s even left his veteran teammate Brandin Cooks in awe of the way he manages to just play the game at his own pace.
In a recent interview with Jon Machota of The Athletic, Cooks said Lamb is the kind of receiver who can control the pace of the game and slow it down at will, and that’s special.
Brandin Cooks: “One of the biggest things I see (CeeDee Lamb) doing is he’s just playing at his own pace, in a good way. When you can slow the game down, still to be that young, it’s special what he’s doing out there.
“I love seeing what he’s doing.” https://t.co/Rx2m3q8YAn

Notably, Lamb is the kind of player who should draw 10 to 15 targets per game at the very least.
He’s a physical mismatch against most DBs because of his athleticism, wingspan, and hops, and he rarely drops any passes.
The Cowboys have become a run-heavy team under Mike McCarthy, mostly because he doesn’t seem to trust Dak Prescott that much.
Prescott has had his fair share of struggles when asked to lead, but he’s currently playing good, mistake-free football.
It’s not a coincidence that he’s been better now that he’s getting Lamb involved early and often, as he’s the kind of player who makes quarterback’s jobs easier and makes them look good.
