The Philadelphia Eagles rarely spend big bucks on their running backs.
Then again, a player like Saquon Barkley rarely becomes available in free agency.
Howie Roseman didn’t hesitate to sign him to a three-year deal worth $37.5 million, significantly more than what he could’ve gotten from the New York Giants.
Money aside, Barkley felt undervalued and disrespected by the Giants, which is easy to understand, given the way they treated him over the past couple of years.
Now, veteran DE Brandon Graham is thrilled to know that he won’t have to chase him around the field twice a year.
Talking to The New York Post, the veteran stopper called Barkley a ‘home run hitter,’ and he’s quite excited about what he can bring to the table in Philadelphia.
He predicts a big season from the Penn State product, who will finally play behind a solid offensive line (via Around the NFL):
“I don’t want to predict nothing, but I know we do have a good squad and I’m expecting big things,” he said.

No one denies or doubts Barkley’s impact on the game.
The only knock on him has been his inability to stay on the field because of the many injuries he’s been through in his career.
Still, he doesn’t have to be the focal point of the offense anymore, and a diminished workload might help to keep him fresh and healthy throughout the course of the entire season.
The New York Giants lost their best offensive player — and perhaps their best player overall.
Now, he’s ready to shine for one of their biggest rivals.
