One process that all MLB teams hope to avoid is arbitration.
It is something that every team has to deal with, but it can be unfortunate for both the player and the team.
The team wants to pay the player one figure and the player thinks he deserves more.
It can be an awkward process that teams try to avoid.
The Atlanta Braves have done a great job of that so far this offseason.
The Braves entered the offseason needing new deals for pitchers Max Fried and A.J. Minter.
According to David O’Brien, both pitchers signed one-year deals.
Fried was for $15 million and Minter signed for $6.22 million.
Now the Braves will avoid any arbitration hearings this winter.
The #Braves avoided arbitration with Max Fried and A.J. Minter by settling with the pitchers on one-year deals for $15 million with Fried and $6.22 million with Minter, per sources. They were the last unsigned arb-eligible Braves, who will avoid any arb hearings this year.

The Braves front office has always done a great job of taking care of their players.
More often than not they have shown the propensity to sign players early.
For instance, they signed Ronald Acuna Jr. to an 8-year, $100 million deal in 2019.
That deal is looking like a steal for the Braves.
They did the same thing with Ozzie Albies and Michael Harris II.
Both players are making far less than they should based on their recent production.
The Braves front office is one of the smartest in baseball.
They know how to take care of their players and put one of the best rosters on the field each season.
Looking at the Braves roster for 2024, they should be on the shortlist of teams that can win the World Series.
But, they must show the ability to play their best in October.
Something they have failed to do each of the past two seasons.
