The New York Giants couldn’t keep their foot on the gas in 2023.
Following an impressive and promising first year under Brian Daboll, the G-Men struggled mightily in his second campaign.
That’s why the former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator wanted to make it loud and clear that the team will go the extra mile to make sure that doesn’t happen again in 2024.
Talking to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, Daboll stated that the team wouldn’t leave any stone unturned to get better next season (via Around the NFL):
“You certainly want to have a better record than we had last year, so there’s no stone unturned,” Daboll said. “Done a lot of research, met with a lot of different people, trying to grow and develop, do a lot of different things in terms of procedure, process, player evaluations, scheme evaluation, decision-making, leadership, those are all things you try to grow and develop with every year.”

The Giants surely took those words to heart early in the offseason.
Despite losing Saquon Barkley and Xavier McKinney, the Giants managed to add an elite pass rusher like Brian Burns, all while revamping their offensive line.
Needless to say, they still have an evident shortage of talent at offensive skill player positions, and replacing Barkley with Devin Singletary was far from impressive.
But if this team manages to solve their QB woes in the NFL Draft, they could be on the right path to get back to contention in a couple of seasons.
They’re already going to have a solid defensive front.
The Giants looked on the right path with Daniel Jones two years ago, and he got himself a big payday after his career-best campaign.
Now, with several people within the organization reportedly having second thoughts about him, he’s going to be heavily pressured to prove his worth and show that he can stay healthy and be an impactful player in this league.
