The Denver Broncos have finally solved one of their biggest issues for the season.
Star WR Courtland Sutton had been looking to get a new deal for months now.
He was rumored to hold out from training camp, just like most of his colleagues do now, in order to put pressure on the front office.
That wasn’t the case in the end, and while he didn’t get a contract extension, he was able to reach a financial agreement with the organization.
According to a report by Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, both parties agreed to a restructured contract.
The #Broncos signed WR Courtland Sutton to a restructured contract that can pay him up to $15.2 million this season, including $1.5M in new incentives.

He can now earn up to $15.2 million next season, with $1.5 million of that based on incentives.
The 28-year-old will now remain under contract through 2025, and this could essentially be a contract year for him.
The Broncos were hard-pressed to shed some salary off their books after parting ways with Russell Wilson and absorbing the largest cap hit in NFL history.
Sutton has been their best offensive player since he entered the league, beating Jerry Jeudy for the WR1 distinction and being one of the most consistent and underrated wide receivers in the league.
He showed up to training camp in hopes of working something out, and those reps with new QB Bo Nix could do wonders to develop their rapport.
Needless to say, the Broncos aren’t expected to be much of a powerhouse in the foreseeable future, but even so, they still needed someone to get fans in the seats while they rebuild their roster.
