The Denver Broncos are struggling again this season, as they’re off to a 1-4 record after their latest setback on Sunday.
They lost to the New York Jets, 31-21, and it was a couple of miscues and turnovers that arguably single-handedly cost them the game.
They will have a short turnaround before taking on the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday at Arrowhead Stadium, and it will be a very stiff test for a team that is last in points and total yards allowed.
Patrick Surtain II, the star cornerback for the Broncos, gave some massive respect to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, calling him a “unicorn,” via James Palmer.

“He’s a unicorn.”

Kelce is the NFL’s best tight end, and even if his numbers are a bit down so far this season, he is still a major weapon for the defending Super Bowl champs.
The Chiefs are 4-1, tying them for the best record in the AFC, and even if they aren’t fully on their game, they have to be considered contenders because of Kelce and superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Through four games, Kelce has 222 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Surtain has been the lone bright spot for the Broncos’ poor defense — he has six passes defended and one interception so far this season.
Last year, which was his second in the NFL, he was named to both the Pro Bowl and All-Pro First Team, and he’s considered a major building block for the future.
Still, Surtain’s name has come up in trade rumors, as some feel Denver may blow things up unless they start winning games with some regularity.
