After years of disappointment and mediocrity at the quarterback position, the Chicago Bears finally have a potential superstar to build around, with the team bringing in USC product Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Although every quarterback that comes into the league has a fair amount of question marks about whether they can excel on the NFL level, Williams seems like one of the few who have the potential to make an impact right out of the gate, especially with the weapons around him.
The Bears knew they were going to draft Williams with the top pick, so the team made a point of surrounding him with the talent needed to be successful on the offensive side of the football.
Chicago already had DJ Moore on the roster, then traded for veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen, signed running back D’Andre Swift, and drafted one of the best wide receiver prospects in the draft by bringing in Rome Odunze at No. 9 overall.
Needless to say, Williams will have an arsenal at his disposal to start his NFL career and is already connecting with his new teammates during OTAs, via ESPN Bet on Twitter.

It’s pretty remarkable that Williams is already expected to throw for nearly 3,500 yards in his first season in Chicago, as many believe it won’t take him long to establish his presence in the league while being the undisputed leader of the storied franchise.
The real question is whether the Bears can put it all together next season and make a run at the NFL playoffs with Williams at the helm, which remains to be seen.
