The Minnesota Twins entered the Wild Card round having lost 18 straight postseason games.
At some point, the pain and suffering had to stop for that organization.
On Tuesday, they finally ended the drought and won their first playoff game since 2004.
The Twins were able to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays and take a 1-0 series lead.
One player that played a big role in their success was shortstop Carlos Correa.
He has the most playoff experience of any Twins player and he came through with a big play in the game.
As shared by MLB, Correa made a great play to cut off a run at the plate.

Bo Bichette tried to score from second base on a ball that went under the glove of third baseman Jorge Polanco.
Correa made a great instinctual play to get the ball and make a strong throw home.
Now that the Twins have ended the drought, they can focus on winning the series.
The Twins send Sonny Gray to the mound for Game 2, who is coming off a great season.
He made the All-Star team and finished with a 2.79 ERA in 184.0 innings.
Opposing Gray with be Jose Berrios for the Blue Jays.
The Twins have to feel good about this pitching matchup being in their favor.
What the Twins should be looking to do is score early.
Correa and company need to get Gray an early lead so some of the pressure can be taken off.
The Twins are one win away from their first playoff series win since 2002.
