This has been another frustrating season for the Los Angeles Chargers, the likes of which their fans are used to by now.
Despite possessing enough talent to at least make the playoffs, they sagged to a 4-6 record after losing to the Green Bay Packers, 23-20, last weekend, which also happened to be their fifth loss by three points or fewer this year.
Once again, injuries have hit the team hard, as wide receiver Mike Williams and tight end Gerald Everett, two key offensive contributors, are out of action right now.
With Everett questionable for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, head coach Brandon Staley will look into which tight end on L.A.’s practice squad should be promoted, per Alex Insdorf.
Brandon Staley says the team will take the next 36 hours to evaluate whether Stephen Anderson or Hunter Kampmpoyer should be elevated from the practice squad.
Gerald Everett is questionable, Nick Vannett is out.

Stephen Anderson is in his seventh year in the NFL, although he hasn’t played yet this season.
He is a California native who played his college ball at the University of California, Berkeley, and he went undrafted in 2016 before signing with the Houston Texans.
So far in his pro career, the 6-foot-3, 230-pound tight end has caught 63 passes for 715 yards and three touchdowns.
Hunter Kampmoyer spent five seasons with the University of Oregon Ducks and was signed by the Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2021.
He appeared in one game as a rookie and put up no statistics, as he has mostly been a member of their practice squad since coming into the NFL.
With Williams out, Keenan Allen, their longtime No. 1 wide receiver, has stepped up his game, but clearly others need to improve their play if the team is to have any shot at getting back to the postseason.
