After defensive end Chase Young was traded to the San Francisco 49ers by the Washington Commanders last season, the former No. 2 overall pick had a chance to resurrect his career with a legitimate title contender after injuries seemed to derail his career in the nation’s capital.
Unfortunately for Young, he didn’t make enough of an impression in San Francisco for the team to want to re-sign him when he hits NFL free agency this offseason, which means he’ll more than likely be on the move once again.
Although he’s not the dominant player that many were hoping he’d turn out to be on the NFL level, he’s still a force to be reckoned with on the football field and a player that will get some interest on the open market.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Young has visits with three different teams set up as he tries to find a new home in the NFL, with the former Ohio State star expected to visit the Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, and New Orleans Saints.

At this point in time, there’s no telling what kind of offers Young will get from these teams during these visits, but it does appear that he’s doing his due diligence before deciding where his next stop in the NFL will be.
In 16 games with the Commanders and 49ers last season, Young recorded 7.5 sacks, two passes defensed, and 17 solo tackles.
Obviously, these aren’t game-changing numbers, but he can still make an impact on a team as long as he stays healthy.
