The Kansas City Chiefs entered the offseason with three pressing questions about their 2024 roster.
One of those questions was regarding Chris Jones’ contract, which has been answered with his massive extension.
Another was regarding L’Jarius Sneed, who was tagged by the Chiefs.
His future is still undecided, but if he doesn’t gain any traction across the league, he will play on the franchise tag next season.
The last of these three questions was about the Chiefs’ wide receiver room and whether the team would address this apparent need.
While there is still work to do, the team has made a move at the position, as Adam Schefter has recently reported.
Schefter indicated that the Chiefs are signing Marquise Brown to a one-year deal.

Brown was known as a flashy yet solid receiver in his first few years in the league.
He was a key contributor on the Baltimore Ravens’ offense, a big piece for Lamar Jackson.
However, after things didn’t work out there, he asked to be traded and moved on to the Arizona Cardinals, where he has been for the past two seasons.
Now, he is tied to Patrick Mahomes for at least one season.
There have been some concerns about Brown’s health lately, but the Chiefs appear confident that he is healthy and ready to go for 2024.
Brown should fill a similar role to what Marquez Valdes-Scantling did in this offense, offering his services as a deep threat for Mahomes.
If he stays healthy throughout the year and plays similarly to his early days in Baltimore, this could be an excellent signing for all involved parties.
