The Kansas City Chiefs have had an embarrassment of riches over the past several years as it relates to player talent.
Their draft strategy has resulted in several marquee players becoming stars on this team, including Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce, among many others.
Kelce has been a dominant tight end throughout his career and is considered one of the best in NFL history.
While he has still shown that he has gas left in the tank, the Chiefs will eventually need to consider replacing him.
This might be why they brought in Kansas State tight end prospect Ben Sinnott, as analyst Ron Kopp Jr. pointed out.

Considered undersized under 6’4″ & 250 lb, Sinnott makes up for it with athleticism

Sinnott is relatively short and light for a tight end, but as Kopp points out, his athleticism can make up for any shortfalls in his overall profile.
Whether they draft Sinnott or not, the Chiefs are in desperate need of more playmakers.
They lost a few players in the offseason, and with Rashee Rice’s status up in the air, there are a lot of questions for the Chiefs heading into the 2024 season.
Mahomes seems to do fine with the players that the front office surrounds him with, but if he had better talents around him, he might not have to pull off late-game heroics as often.
Many analysts project the Chiefs to take a wide receiver in the first or second round, but if they’re impressed with Sinnott, they could consider adding him in a later round, helping round out their offense.
