The Indianapolis Colts are all set on offense.
They secured Michael Pittman Jr. for years to come, and they already seem to have a quarterback for the future.
That’s why they’re putting a point of emphasis on the other side of the field right now, even if that means developing the players they currently have.
With Kenny Moore II locked in as their best cornerback, GM Chris Ballard has high hopes for the up-and-coming defensive backs he has on his roster (Via Around the NFL):
“I like our three young corners,” Colts general manager Chris Ballard said via The Athletic. “Now, JuJu (Brents) has gotta be healthy. We gotta get Dallis (Flowers) back healthy, which we think we will. … We think both of them are very good, and I think we kind of underestimated what (Jaylon) Jones did. I thought Jones played really good football last year and did against some very talented wideouts and never backed down. We think these guys are gonna continue to get better.”

The Colts have found plenty of success both in the NFL Draft and finding diamonds in the rough as undrafted free agents.
JuJu Brents is coming off posting one pick, one forced fumble, 43 combined tackles, and six passes defended in just nine appearances last season, showing that he can be one of the best in the game if he stays healthy.
Dallis Flowers, on the other hand, logged 15 combined tackles, one tackle for loss, and three passes defensed in just four games (all starts).
Jaylon Jones also excelled with 44 combined tackles, one tackle for a loss, and one quarterback hit while making 17 appearances for the club, and he showed glimpses of greatness when he shut down Cleveland Browns star Amari Cooper.
The Colts looked ahead of schedule in the first season under Shane Steichen.
But the AFC South Division figures to be a battle for years to come, so they need to keep getting better if they want to stand a chance.
