After an up-and-down first half to the 2023 NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys appear to be rounding into form and are squarely in the conversation for Super Bowl contention.
Dallas demolished the Washington Commanders in Week 12, showcasing how explosive and dominant they can be when they’ve got it going.
Dak Prescott had another outing throwing for over 300 yards and multiple touchdowns, while the defense forced turnovers and made sure the team’s victory was never in doubt.
The Cowboys are playing as well as just about anyone else in the league, though they haven’t won everyone over just yet.
Chris Broussard gave Dallas their props, but still has the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers ahead of them in the NFC via First Things First.
“I’ll give you 2 reasons Dallas won’t get to the Super Bowl: San Francisco and Philadelphia,” Broussard said.

The Eagles own the best record in the NFL, while the 49ers defense has looked like the best unit in the league after the trade deadline.
Dallas has the talent to compete with both those squads, but to Broussard’s point, Philadelphia and San Francisco are far more proven.
Broussard adds that this season is Super Bowl or bust for the Cowboys who have been starved for a championship for decades now.
The expectations and pressure are mounting for Dallas to deliver on these strong performances in the playoffs, but it won’t be an easy path.
The Cowboys have an important stretch of games coming up, and how well they do could go a long way in determining whether or not they’re real.
