After a slow start to the 2023 NFL season, the Jacksonville Jaguars have found their groove and kicked off Week 7 with a road win over the New Orleans Saints.
The Jaguars took a commanding lead early in the first quarter thanks to a pair of touchdown runs from Travis Etienne, though the Saints managed to rally back in the second half to tie things up at 24 apiece.
Jacksonville looked like they were on the verge of blowing the game, though they were saved by Christian Kirk who took a short pass to the house for a 44-yard touchdown.
It was the play of the game as that score ultimately ended up being the game-winning touchdown.
New Orleans had several chances in the final minute to force overtime, but just couldn’t convert down in the end zone.
Following the game, Kirk had a funny reaction to his massive play via The Score.
“I don’t think I ran that fast since like college. That was some vintage stuff, I guess. I’m glad I was able to do it in that moment,” Kirk said.

Kirk runs a short route next to the line of scrimmage and pulls a double move to get open enough for Trevor Lawrence to hit him with the football.
What should have been a modest gain turned into an explosive play for Kirk who simply outran the Saints’ defenders.
The wideout has been one of the more reliable options in the passing game for Lawrence and showed just how dangerous he can be when he has the football in his hands.
