It’s not easy to mention better running backs than Christian McCaffrey in today’s NFL.
It’s not easy to even think of ten running backs better than him since he entered the league.
Notably, a lot of that has to do with his God-given talents and athleticism, but his insane work ethic also deserves plenty of credit.
Recently, NFL reporter Dov Kleiman shared a clip of McCaffrey talking about his work ethic as a kid, from not being able to drink sodas to being in bed by 7:30 pm, all the way to not even wearing jeans to make sure the clothes weren’t heavy on his legs.

He talked about how his father, former NFL WR Ed McCaffrey, made sure to have his son on a military-like regime from a young age so he would one day take the league by storm.
Of course, some might think that he was a little extra and should’ve been easier on a young kid, but it definitely paid off for him.
Besides Christian, his other sons, Max and Luke, have already made it to the league, with the latter being a third-round draft pick this year by the Washington Commanders.
Christian McCaffrey is coming off one of the best — if not the best — seasons of his career, and he’s going to continue to be near the mountaintop of NFL running backs for as long as he’s healthy.
That means Niners fans should be thankful to his father for teaching him how to be a professional since he was a kid.
