The Arizona Diamondbacks are up 1-0 against the Los Angeles Dodgers in their National League Division Series matchup.
The way in which the D-Backs dominated the Dodgers, a 100-win team, on Saturday was impressive.
The snakes won 11-2 and chased future Hall of Fame pitcher Clayton Kershaw from the game in the first inning.
Kershaw could only get a single out, and conceded a whopping six earned runs on six hits and a walk.
Kershaw has notoriously struggled in the postseason throughout his career, but what happened on Saturday was hard to believe.
He has suffered several injuries in the last few years, including a bout of left shoulder soreness in 2023.
Still, the star lefty insists that he is fine health-wise.
“I feel fine,” Clayton Kershaw said. “Just didn’t make enough good pitches obviously tonight. There’s nothing health-related here. Just bad pitching.” Called the outing “embarrassing.” “You just feel like you let everybody down,” Dodgers insider Fabian Ardaya tweeted.

With the ugly outing, his postseason ERA is now 4.49, two full runs higher than his 2.48 career regular season ERA.
This year, he posted a solid 2.46 ERA in 24 starts and 131.2 frames with the Dodgers, going 13-5 with a 1.06 WHIP.
Manager Dave Roberts gave him a vote of confidence, saying he is the team’s “only” option to start a hypothetical Game 4 should the Dodgers make it that far.
If he ends up taking the ball again, he will probably need to change his game plan and how he approaches hitters because the D-Backs evidently studied him prior to his weekend start.
