Last year, the Jacksonville Jaguars finally turned the corner, with the team parting ways with head coach Urban Meyer in favor of bringing in Doug Pederson, which made a significant difference right away for the struggling franchise.
Star quarterback Trevor Lawrence began to live up to expectations, and the future seemed bright for the Jaguars, as everything was heading on the right track, leading to a playoff appearance.
Unfortunately, the Jaguars fell short in the playoffs against the eventual Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs, but the team had done enough to prove to everyone around the league that their time was coming.
After a rocky start to the 2023 NFL season, with two losses in their first three games, the Jaguars were able to turn things around and win seven over their last nine games while taking control of the AFC South division.
Despite an impressive turnaround this year, it appears the season might have been derailed by a serious ankle injury suffered by Lawrence on Monday Night Football, which was handled poorly, according to Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports, via “The Herd with Colin Cowherd.”
“You don’t have a cart? It’s Florida, everybody owns a golf cart… Maybe you should move to Orlando because you’re such a Mickey Mouse operation.”

Cowherd thinks it was painful to watch how the Jaguars got Lawrence off the field and to the locker room, as the superstar quarterback was clearly suffering from immense pain and needed a cart to help him alleviate that pain.
This prompted the pundit to heavily criticize the Jaguars organization and how they handle their best players in these kinds of moments, and he may have a point, as it was rough to watch and could’ve been avoided.
