The Cincinnati Bengals were one of the worst teams in the NFL for several years.
They had a tough time finding consistency at the quarterback position, as they didn’t have someone in that role who could bring the team on a significant playoff run.
Then, Joe Burrow happened.
Burrow was drafted with the No. 1 overall pick, and he instantly helped turn this team around.
He brought them to the Super Bowl, and while they didn’t win, getting there was a sign that this team was headed in the right direction.
Despite this initial optimism, the Bengals had a down year in 2024, and a lot of that was due to Burrow’s injuries.
Between his wrist and nagging leg and ankle problems, people are starting to get concerned about Burrow’s ability to last in the NFL.
Colin Cowherd and Nick Wright recently discussed this in a video segment shared via The Volume on Twitter.
“I do think one more injury and the Bengals have to draft another QB,” Cowherd said.

Cowherd is under the impression that the Bengals might be getting ready to draft Burrow’s replacement, especially if he has another grueling injury.
They did sign him to a massive contract extension, but due to his injuries last year, he was unable to prove himself under this new deal.
The Bengals seemed like one of the only AFC teams capable of taking down Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, but that title is now under question due to Burrow’s injury concerns.
