Super Bowl LVIII was a real treat for football fans across the nation, and it had a now-familiar ending: the Kansas City Chiefs coming from behind to win it all.
As they had in their two previous Super Bowl wins with superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, they fell behind by 10 points, then got their game going and claimed the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
This time, they trailed the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 10-0 in the second quarter, only to make it a hotly contested game in the third quarter and prevail in overtime, 25-22.
Head coach Andy Reid undoubtedly made adjustments that resulted in that outcome, and the totality of the situation made Colin Cowherd call him the greatest football coach he has ever seen — better than even Bill Belichick, per The Volume.
“I think Andy Reid is the best coach I’ve ever seen,” Cowherd said.

Belichick has won six Super Bowl championships, and many consider him the greatest coach ever, but his legacy has one big weakness that is easy to pick at.
As Cowherd pointed out, his legacy is heavily tied to one player — legendary quarterback Tom Brady — and without Brady, he has looked rather pedestrian.
In 10 seasons before and after Brady’s tenure with the New England Patriots, Belichick has finished with a winning record just twice, and this season was a disaster for him and the Patriots, as they went just 4-13.
Cowherd even implied that Bill Walsh, the former 49ers coach, may have been better than Belichick, as he said Reid is the best coach he has seen since Walsh.
Reid was the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles from 1999 to 2012, and despite never having a truly elite QB, they had a winning record eight times and reached the playoffs nine times.
If he isn’t the greatest coach ever, at least not yet, he’s rapidly climbing the ladder, and he likely isn’t done yet.
