The Denver Broncos made it a one-possession game late vs. the Kansas City Chiefs, which is pretty impressive, all things considered.
Their defense showed up to play for the first time all season, holding the reigning Super Bowl champions to only 19 points and multiple field goals.
However, the offense struggled to move the chains, and even though the Chiefs boast a solid defense this season, putting up 197 yards and eight points is unacceptable to win at the highest level.
That’s why Colin Cowherd believes that Russell Wilson is the one and only true problem in Denver.
“Russell Wilson is the problem… Now it’s Sean Payton’s problem”

He stated that the game felt over when it was 13-0, adding that it wouldn’t have been that way if the other QB was Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson, or Jalen Hurts.
He added that he had never seen a star QB fall off a cliff so drastically, especially considering one who never had a history of injuries or a major injury.
Cowherd stated that Wilson’s salary, combined with his “lack of juice” is now Sean Payton’s problem, giving props to Pete Carroll for seeing how rapidly Wilson was aging.
In all fairness, Wilson has done much better this season than he did last year.
Whatever the case, he does have a point in terms of Wilson not being the guy he used to be, but there are many more things that are wrong with the 2023 Broncos.
