The Dallas Cowboys looked like the team to beat at several points throughout the 2023 season.
Their offense was one of the best in the league, and it appeared that their defense was poised to stop anyone who crossed their path.
For a team with a flawless record at home last year, the Cowboys looked to be in a great position in the playoffs, hoping it was the year that things could be different.
However, they ended up falling to the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round, bringing them back to square one.
Many Cowboys fans identified several ways the team, led by head coach Mike McCarthy and quarterback Dak Prescott, could improve.
Colin Cowherd agreed with the analysis of Prescott in a recent segment of “The Volume.”
“I look at Dallas as an injury to CeeDee Lamb as a lot of dependency on Dak,” Cowherd said.

Lamb has been one of the best wide receivers in the NFL since he entered the league, but Cowherd knows that he can’t do it all himself.
As he mentions, if Lamb gets injured, the Cowboys will wish they were more active in free agency instead of sticking with the players they already have on their roster.
Cowherd doesn’t know if Prescott is good enough to carry this team on his own, especially if Lamb misses time for any reason.
It will be interesting to see how Prescott and the Cowboys perform in 2024, especially considering the conversation surrounding their team this offseason.
