The Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers are scheduled to face off during Sunday Night Football in Week 5.
This game has received significant media attention, as it is seen as the first major test for both teams.
Entering the season, the Cowboys received a lot of criticism for their early playoff exit.
They have worked diligently to get all of their loose ends tied up, resulting in a 3-1 record thus far.
Ahead of this matchup, Colin Cowherd recently talked about Mike McCarthy as the defining factor in this contest.

“If he is my lead on Sunday, a very patient to this point Jerry Jones is upset,” Cowherd said.
During this segment of this show, Cowherd broke down both of the teams.
He compared positions, putting a checkmark next to the team he thought was better.
For example, Cowherd gave the Cowboys an edge at the quarterback position but believes the 49ers have better offensive skill position players.
He also gave the 49ers an edge at head coach, believing Kyle Shanahan is a much better coach than McCarthy.
To Cowherd, if the Cowboys make a lot of mistakes during this game that ultimately cost them the victory, McCarthy will be on the hot seat.
Many analysts believe the Cowboys have one of the best overall rosters in the NFL.
They have top players in nearly every positional group, but they haven’t been able to take that next step in the playoffs.
If they’re unable to take that leap this season, it could be the end of McCarthy’s time in Dallas.
