It’s been quite a while since the Denver Broncos last had a franchise quarterback.
Peyton Manning’s retirement led to a never-stopping revolving door at Mile High, with plenty of people calling out John Elway for his struggles to find a new signal-caller.
Now, after years of struggles and following the Russell Wilson fiasco, they may have finally found their guy.
At least, that’s what Colin Cowherd believes.
Recently, the renowned sports analyst took to Twitter to reveal that he’s been hearing very good things about Bo Nix, adding that the Broncos might be on to something with him.

Sean Payton and the Broncos’ brass were reportedly quite high on Nix throughout the entire pre-draft process.
They claimed he was their guy all along, and both parties looked quite excited about getting to work with each other.
While not the highest-touted prospect in this star-studded class, Nix’s athletic traits and experience in college made some think that he could be NFL-ready right out of the gate.
On paper, he’s a solid fit for Payton’s system, and it’s not like he would have any realistic competition for the QB1 spot with Zach Wilson and Jarrett Stidham there.
Of course, it’s one thing to excel in practice and a whole different thing to do it on the field when it actually counts.
But even if there were some doubts about Nix and it took him longer to figure things out in college, he might just need proper guidance to take a leap forward finally and prove that he can also be a star in this league.
