Despite not having Justin Jefferson, the Minnesota Vikings were able to pull off an upset on Monday Night Football when they beat the San Francisco 49ers, 22-17.
The Vikings had one of their best two-way games all season against the 49ers as they were able to methodically move the ball downfield and slow down Brock Purdy and the passing game.
The player of the game has to be Minnesota safety Camryn Bynum, who picked off Purdy twice, with the most important one coming late in the fourth quarter to halt a San Francisco comeback.
However, Kirk Cousins also deserves credit for the win as he threw for 378 yards and two touchdowns on the evening.
Despite the Vikings’ record, Cousins is having another stellar year under center which has made him a popular trade target.
Colin Cowherd is one person in the media who believes Minnesota should be trying to move Cousins now, via “The Herd.”
“His stock is at an all-time high… You can get a first-round pick today after last night,” Cowherd said.

Cousins was heavily linked to the New York Jets after Aaron Rodgers went down with a torn Achilles, though those rumblings have quieted down since.
To Cowherd’s point, it makes sense for the Vikings to trade Cousins as he’s in the last year of his deal and could leave in free agency.
There are several teams around the league that would be happy to have Cousins as their starting quarterback, though Minnesota has yet to signal they’re interested in trading him.
With the NFL trade deadline just one week away, it’ll be interesting to see if Cousins does end up staying put.
