Last season got off to a promising start for the Indianapolis Colts, who finally found a potential franchise quarterback after going through veteran after veteran to fill the void left under center by former superstar Andrew Luck, who retired at 29.
Although it was a risky proposition, as it seemed as though Anthony Richardson needed the most polish of all the top-tier quarterbacks coming out of the college game, he put on a show in the four games he played before going down with a season-ending shoulder injury.
Fortunately for the Colts, Richardson should be ready to go for the upcoming 2024 NFL season, where the team hopes to keep him healthy, happy and on the field as they try to pave their way back to being a playoff team in the AFC.
With training camp getting underway this week for the Colts, the team has decided to make a couple of moves that will directly impact Richardson and the offense in Indianapolis.
According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the Colts have released wide receiver Xavier White and have replaced him with Laquon Treadwell, formerly of the Baltimore Ravens.

After spending the first four years of his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings, Treadwell has bounced around the league quite a bit, as he has played for the Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, Seattle Seahawks and Ravens before landing with the Colts this year.
Although not a game-changer for the Colts offense, this does give Richardson another weapon in the passing game if Treadwell can make the final roster.
